What can it analyze? 
Simply supported and multi-span steel beams: pinned, roller, and fixed supports, point loads, and distributed loads, with shear, moment, and deflection results.
 

How is this different from the CalcBook desktop app? 
This page does analysis. The desktop app adds code-checked design (steel, concrete, timber), load combinations, internal hinges and springs, and professional reports.
 

What units does it use? 
US customary: feet, kips, ksi, and inches.
 

Is my data saved or uploaded? 
No. Everything stays in your browser. Want to keep a beam? Download a .cb and open it in the CalcBook desktop app.
